About
My name is Lisa Zador and I am a painter, illustrator and textile designer living here in Manhattan’s West Village with my dog Bingo. I always have so many ideas whirling around in my head that I thought it would be helpful (and hopefully fun) to keep an on-line journal of them. I believe that it will help motivate me and enable to me see my own progress. Plus it is a great opportunity to share and to get feedback! Most of the things I talk about relate to work that I sell in my Etsy shop of the same name.
I have a true love for things from the past; mostly things from the 40′s and 50′s. Things that remind me of my childhood and my Parents. Many of the items I paint portraits of are from that time period but many of them are from my own imagination but always come from that same sense of nostalgia.

Well, my mosquito eaten, squirrel feeding, screen mending, sleepless in New York, river walking, artistic and very talented painter, illustrator, and textile designer living in Manhattan’s West Village with my nephew Bingo, Bubble Head Barbie hacking, pumpkin men painting, Bubble-Head men creator, 1970’s new wave music listening cousin, you are feeding Daisy entirely too much. She looks as though she is going to burst at the seams. Do you intend to stitch her back up as you do your window screens???? If I see that she gains one more pound I will be reporting you to the National Humane Society and sicking PETA on your ass.
By the way, very cool blog! oxoxoxoxoxo
Hi Lisa! Remember me? I’m Glo’s husband and we meet about a month ago in NYC. I just want to say that your fascinating creativity and fun spirit clearly are conveyed in your work! It intrigues me how you come up with all these ideas. Excellent works.
