Teddy Bear Portraits Begin

April 21, 2010

I was so happy with my Sock Monkey  and Green Bunny portraits that I decided to finally paint 2 more of my cherished childhood toys Brownie and Yellow & Brown Teddy. (I never was very imaginative with words). They are very floppy and worn but have a noble beauty about them just the same.

Hey Lisa: I am delighted to discover you have a blog. I love the new stuffy portraits…have you ever read the Children’s book “The Toy Hospital”…your squirrel reminds me so much of the book.
I did a portrait of Myriam’s favorite doll before…amazing subject matter!
